Yesterday was profound. Hailey and I met at Starbucks and talked for hours, while we sipped away at our iced chai tea lattes (it was the first time I had one…I normally stick with the vanilla bean frap, but it was surprisingly really good). For the first time in my life, I was able to talk to someone who really helped put things in perspective and who really understood where I’m coming from and why I feel the way I do. She listened for hours and I poured my soul out to her. There were no walls up. She knows my deepest secrets, pain, guilt, failures, shame, flaws. It was the most real conversation I have ever had and the best part was I never felt judged by her. I am so thankful to the Lord for providing myself and Hailey with real friendship and fellowship. She is a true blessing in my life.
