Disney Movie-inspired wedding gowns :o)
Oddly enough, Lauren and I were talking about our future weddings a week or two ago and we decided that we wanted to have our favorite Disney princess-themed wedding. I know you’re probably thinking “cheesy” and you might be right (its definitely not for every girl).
Lauren thinks she is Ariel (and now she has the hair to match it) and she is inspired by the colors of The Little Mermaid. The cooling, tranquil feel of turquoise resembling the sea and the vivid energy of coral would be her color scheme. Unfortunately, she isn’t into the mermaid bodice so I don’t think Disney’s Ariel wedding gown would be much of a hit with her.
I, on the other hand, am leaning more to an “enchanted garden” type wedding. Undoubtedly, Belle has always been my favorite princess to the point of obsession at one time or another. When I was four I ate, drank and slept to Beauty and the Beast. It found its way into my bedroom (sheets, blankets, pillow cases), my toys and my clothes. For my future wedding, I thought that soft champagnes and golds paired with bold reds/burgandy would be my color scheme. Everything would be very elegant and there would be a ton of roses. I liked the Belle-inspired gown, but in all honesty I think my favorite gown was Snow White’s (Cinderella’s was my next favorite). I really liked the bodice and the soft flowers.
Okay, so maybe its ridiculous that I already have begun to plan my wedding, while being no where close to being married AND that I’m a typical girly-girl going for the princess theme…but its not my fault. Blame Disney. They filled my head with the glamour and sophistication of being a princess, gave the princesses beautiful gowns, hair and faces and put them with sexy princes…how could I not want to be like them?
